Jointed Hands Welfare Organisation (JHWO) is a local NGO working towards a harm-free and disease-free society. The organisation operates nationally under five strategic pillars: Health, Social Development, Resilience Strengthening, Disaster Risk Management, and Strategic Information & Knowledge Management.
Under its Health Pillar, JHWO is implementing the Hope for Lungs Project, which focuses on improving access to early diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer, reducing incidence, and improving patient outcomes and quality of life.

Duties and Responsibilities
Summary of the job
The Regional Officer is responsible for lung cancer prevention, awareness, early detection, patient navigation, referral coordination, and health systems strengthening initiatives; ensuring effective programme delivery; stakeholder engagement; and improved access to timely, patient-centred lung cancer services within designated sites. The officer works closely with provincial and district health authorities; facility teams; patient navigators; and community structures; the Regional Officer supports the integration, performance, and sustainability of lung cancer services while ensuring alignment with national priorities and programme objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the implementation of Hope for Lungs Phase II activities across assigned districts; ensuring timely delivery of programme interventions and achievement of project targets; Lead community awareness; health promotion; and risk reduction initiatives targeting high-risk populations; including miners; smokers; passive smoke-exposed individuals; and other vulnerable groups; Support the implementation of patient navigation systems; ensuring effective linkage, follow-up, retention, and continuity of care throughout the patient journey, Facilitate coordination and collaboration between MoHCC and key stakeholders; healthcare facilities; community stakeholders, patient support groups, and programme partners to strengthen service delivery and programme sustainability, Maintain and monitor patient tracking systems, documenting patient pathways; risk profiles, referrals, treatment outcomes, follow-up actions, and barriers to care; Collect, verify, and report programme data, supporting routine monitoring, performance reviews; operational research activities, and evidence-based programme improvement; Document and disseminate lessons learned, patient journeys, success stories; and most significant change narratives to support programme learning; advocacy, and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications and Experience
At least a Bachelor's degree in Social sciences/ Public Health/Health promotion/ or similar qualifications.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in programming in an NGO setting.
Proficiency in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Good relationship management skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary and multicultural team.
Diligence, accuracy, and timeliness in executing assigned responsibilities; initiative-taking and results-oriented.
