Forus is hiring : Digital Governance Working Group Facilitator – Remote, 12-Month Consultancy Opportunity
Forus, a global network empowering civil society for social change, in partnership with the European Center for Non-for-Profit Law (ECNL), seeks an experienced Digital Governance Working Group Facilitator to lead and support online sessions within the Civil Society Alliances for Digital Empowerment (CADE).

Location: Remote
Closing Date: June 21, 2026
Contract Duration: 12 months (July 2026 – July 2027)
This consultancy aims to strengthen civil society engagement in internet governance, foster interregional collaboration, and produce tangible joint outputs on digital rights and governance issues.
• Facilitate 9 online sessions over 12 months, ensuring active participation and balanced representation from Global North and Global South CSOs.
• Develop structured agendas, preparatory materials, and follow-up documentation, including concise minutes, collaboration maps, and action trackers.
• Promote applied peer learning through sharing concrete experiences, fostering dialogue, and identifying joint actions.
• Work closely with the Forus Project Coordinator to align session content with CADE goals and broader project activities.
• Ensure inclusivity and diverse stakeholder participation, monitoring engagement trends and recommending outreach strategies.
• Contribute to the development of an engagement plan and dissemination strategies to maximize impact.
• Deliver a comprehensive report at the end of the cycle, including joint actions, lessons learned, and strategic recommendations.
• Support the planning and execution of tangible joint actions, including webinars, advocacy initiatives, and policy recommendations.
• Proven facilitation experience in online, cross-regional, and multilingual settings (minimum 2 years).
• Expertise in digital rights, internet governance, and multistakeholder processes (minimum 2 years).
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish, French, or Portuguese is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with a track record of translating dialogue into concrete outputs.
• Familiarity with Zoom and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and participatory approaches.
• Maximum budget: €10,000 (inclusive of taxes).
• Expected commitment: approximately 3-4 days/month.
• Payment schedule tied to milestones: 35% upon approval of schedule and initial sessions, 30% after mid-cycle sessions, 35% upon project completion and final report submission.
